Brûléed Stuffed Dates

Ingredients

  • 1 wedge Fromager d’Affinois Le Fromager
  • Squeeze of honey, plus additional for drizzling
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup turbinado sugar
  • Black pepper
  • Thyme, fresh, for garnish

Directions

  1. Cut the rind off of the wedge of Fromager d’Affinois Le Fromager.
  2. In a food processor, whip together the Fromager d’Affinois Le Fromager with a squeeze of honey and pinch of salt until smooth. Add to a piping bag.
  3. Pipe the cheese into each pitted date, then press each in turbinado sugar.
  4. Carefully brûlée each date, then finish with a drizzle of honey, black pepper, and thyme.
  5. Serve in paper wrappers for a playful touch !
